Interim Inspections
Interim inspections are an essential part of protecting the Landlords property. They typically take place within the first 3 – 6 months of the tenancy start date and should be undertaken on regular basis thereafter. The inspections highlight issues with the property whether they are caused by the tenant or are maintenance issue. They also show that the tenant is looking after the property as laid out in the tenancy agreement.
The aim of the inspection is to identify signs of:
- Obvious damage
- Any maintenance issues or repairs for the Landlord
- Unauthorised occupiers
- Smoking or drug use in the property
- Pets in the property
- Rubbish/refuse build up which may encourage vermin
- Check the working order and expire dates of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
Each room/area is individually photographed using digital photography and embedded in the final report.
